Britain’s rail union RMT secures new strike mandate

LONDON (Reuters) – Britain’s RMT trade union for railway staff has secured a fresh six-month mandate to carry out strike action following a ballot of its members in a long-running dispute over pay, jobs and conditions, it said on Thursday.

Nearly 90% of more than 20,000 union members across 14 train companies who were balloted voted in favour of further strike action, RMT said.
